From soap starlet to BAFTA winner, Suranne's career seemingly knows no bounds. Across her rolls in Coronation Street, Vigil, Doctor Foster, Gentleman Jack amongst many others, Suranne has portrayed the full and varied gamut of female emotion and experience. And, she's no less engaging and passionate in real-life than she is on the stage or the telly. A loving mother, daughter and advocate for female power in the arts, Suranne is a brilliant way to close the series. She and Angela share loads in common and it's a brilliant chat.
But what is Suranne thankful for today? Angela finds out…

Chris goes down the rabbit hole.
Update: Cara Cunningham, creator of the iconic “Leave Britney Alone” video referenced in this episode, announced her transition in August 2021. “I’m happy to be in a place where I can embrace who I am,” Cunningham wrote in her announcement. We couldn’t be happier for her, too.
