Christy Giles löydettiin 13.päivä marraskuuta vuonna 2021, makaamassa tajuttomana Los Angelesissa sijaitsevan sairaalan edustalta. Hänet julistettiin pian löytymisensä jälkeen kuolleeksi. Christy oli pudotettu sairaalan edustalla sijaitsevalle jalkakäytävälle mustan pakettiauton kyydistä. Rekisterikilvettömän auton kyydissä oli sairaalahenkilökunnan mukaan ollut kolme mustiin pukeutunutta ja naamioitunutta miestä. Vain kaksi tuntia Christyn löytymisen jälkeen hänen läheinen ystävänsä Hilda Marcela Cabrales- Arzola, löydettiin toisen kalifornialaissairaalan edustalta. Hilda oli löytöhetkellä elossa, mutta kuoli 12 päivää myöhemmin. Mitä naisille oikein tapahtui?

Jimmy Keene oli 90-luvulla yksi Chicagon suurimmista huumeparoneista. 20-vuotiaana hänellä oli jo oma kartano josta oli näkymä Michigan- järvelle. Kaikki tämä särkyi vuonna -96, kun Jimmy pidätettiin. Jimmy tuomittiin kymmeneksi vuodeksi vankeuteen, ellei hän tekisi sopimusta syyttäjän kanssa. Mikäli Jimmy onnistuisi samaan Larry Hall nimiseltä vangilta tunnustuksen tämän tekemistä rikoksista, Jimmy pääsisi vapaaksi. Larry ei ollut kuka tahansa vanki, hän oli murhaaja, raiskaaja ja epäilty sarjamurhaaja. Miten Jimmyn tulee käymään, saako hän ikinä Larrylta tunnustusta? Entä missä miehet ovat tänä päivänä?

Emma Walker tapasi poikaystävänsä Riley Gaulin mennessään high schooliin. Vaikka kaikki vaikutti aluksi olevan kunnossa, Emman ystävät ja perhe huolestuivat nopeasti Rileyn kontrolloivasta käytöksestä. Asiat menivät vain huonompaan suuntaan, kun Emma päätti laittaa suhteen poikki Rileyn kanssa. Riley ei kestänyt sitä, että Emma ei enää tarvinnut häntä ja alkoi siksi punoa suunnitelmaa, jolla saisi Emman takaisin.

Frank Rodriguez oli pitkään valitellut vatsavaivoja ja huonoa oloa vaimolleen Angelinalle. Angelina yritti parhaansa mukaan hoitaa miestään, mutta noin viikon sairastelun jälkeen Frank menehtyi. Ruumiinavaus ei paljastanut kuolinsyytä, mutta poliisien yllätykseksi Angelina oli varma siitä, että joku oli myrkyttänyt hänen miehensä.

Viimeisillään raskaana ollut Kenzie Houk löytyi ammuttuna kodistaan helmikuussa 2009. Poliisit päättelivät nopeasti, että Kenzien oli ampunut hänen oma poikapuolensa, 11-vuotias Jordan Brown. Jordanin isä ei voinut uskoa, että hänen poikansa olisi pystynyt niin hirvittävään tekoon, mutta monet muut uskoivat pojan syyllisyyteen.

11.päivä elokuuta vuonna 2023, kuuluisa bosnialainen kehonrakentaja Nermin Sulejmanovic murhasi ex-avopuolisonsa Nizama Hecimovicin ja julkaisi murhan suorana lähetyksenä instagramissa. Kyseistä lähetystä katsoi peräti 12 tuhatta ihmistä, joista osa. Hyvin pieni osa kylläkin vaikutti olleen mielissään siitä mitä Nermin teki. Mikä sai Nerminin tekemään jotain näin raakaa, ja miten tämä tapaus vaikutti Bosnian kansalaisiin?

Yksityisetsivä ja entinen poliisi Taylor Wright katosi vuoden 2017 syyskuussa Floridassa. Ennen katoamistaan Taylor oli ollut vaikeassa elämäntilanteessa ja poliisien ensimmäinen teoria olikin, että Taylor oli lähtenyt karkuun omaa elämäänsä. Tutkimusten edetessä poliisit saivat kuitenkin selville, että katoaminen tuskin liittyi Taylorin vaikeaan elämäntilanteeseen, vaan siihen että hän oli hädän hetkellä luottanut väärään ihmiseen.

Vuosina 1971 ja 1972 Freeway Phantom-nimellä tunnetuksi tullut sarjamurhaaja aiheutti pelkoa Washington D.C:n alueella Yhdysvalloissa. Sarjamurhaaja kohdisti rikoksensa yksin liikkeellä olleisiin lapsiin ja nuoriin ja hän onnistui liikkumaan niin, ettei hänestä saatu juuri ollenkaan silminnäkijähavaintoja. Myöhemmin on tullut ilmi, että murhien tutkinnan aikana tehtiin useita virheitä ja myös poliisien rasistiset asenteet saattoivat vaikuttaa siihen, ettei tappaja koskaan jäänyt kiinni.

12-vuotias Ashley Pond katosi matkalla koulubussipysäkille Oregon Cityssä vuonna 2002. Vaikka aluksi epäiltiin, että Ashley olisi kadonnut omasta tahdostaan paetakseen hankalia kotioloja, melko pian tuli selväksi että hänet oli todennäköisesti siepattu. Vain kaksi kuukautta sen jälkeen kun Ashley katosi, hänen hyvä ystävänsä Miranda Gaddis katosi lähes tismalleen samalta paikalta kuin Ashley.

4-vuotias Kevin löytyi kuolleena Arvikan pikkupaikkakunnalta Ruotsissa syksyllä 1998. Nopeasti poliisit päättelivät, että poika oli murhattu ja syyllisiä olivat lapset, jotka olivat vain vähän Keviniä vanhempia. Vuosia myöhemmin paljastui, että tutkinnassa ja kuulusteluissa oli tehty isoja virheitä ja minkäänlaista varmuutta tekijöiden syyllisyydestä ei oikeasti ollut.

Lokakuussa 1994 Susan Smith soitti hätäkeskukseen ja kertoi, että hänelle entuudestaan tuntematon mies oli kaapannut hänen autonsa, jonka sisällä olivat myös kaksi hänen pientä lastaan. Susanin puhelusta alkoi laaja poliisitutkinta ja mediahuomio, johon kukaan ei osannut varautua. Lopulta poliisit pääsivät Susanin ristiriitaisen kertomuksen perusteella oikean syyllisen jäljille melko nopeasti.
