Elísa Kristins er sannkallaður ultrahlaupari með 4 bakgarða undir beltinu, í síðustu tilraun fór hún 375 kílómetra og ætlar sér mikið meira núna í október. Elísa kemur frá brotnu heimili og átti erfiða æsku sem mótaði styrk og hæfileika sem hún nýtir sér til að fara einn hring í viðbót.

Pétur Helgason er flestum Íslendingum kunnugur sem maðurinn í kraftgallanum með gjallarhornið í Powerade hlaupunum. Hann hefur haldið hlaupið sleitulaust síðan um aldamótin og á sjálfur 30 ára hlaupaferil, með sub3 maraþon, fyrsta Laugaveginn (1997) og Ironman undir beltinu.
Dóttir hans, Þóra Bríet, horfði upp á föður sinn smitast af langhlaupabakteríunni og er sjálf komin í ultra vegalengdirnar, en þau eru einu feðgin í Félagi 100km hlaupara. Þóra lauk nýverið 100 mílna hlaupi í Svíþjóð og að sjálfsögðu lét Pétur sig ekki vanta í hlaupið.
