"الأزمات المتلاحقة خلال الأربع سنوات الماضية، أثبتت أن مؤسستنا الأفريقية في حاجة إلى تحسين قدرتها على الصمود"، هذا ما قاله مساعد وزير الخارجية المصري، السفير أشرف سويلم بعد مشاركته في المؤتمر الأكاديمي حول أفريقيا لعام 2024 الذي نظمته الأمم المتحدة.أخبار الأمم المتحدة التقت مساعد وزير الخارجية المصري بعد جلسة عُقِدت في ختام المؤتمر وركزت على كيفية جسر الهوة بين الأكاديميين وصناع السياسات، والذي عُقِد في الفترة ما بين 3 و5 كانون الأول/ديسمبر ونظمه مكتب المستشارة الخاصة للأمم المتحدة لشؤون أفريقيا، وحمل عنوان "القوة والعدالة والشعب: حقوق الإنسان وسيادة القانون من أجل تحول أفريقيا".وركز المؤتمر خلال أيامه الثلاثة كذلك على تطور سيادة القانون في أفريقيا، ودمج الأبعاد المتنوعة لحقوق الإنسان في القارة.وقال مساعد وزير الخارجية المصري إن هناك حاجة لتغيير المقاربة التي يتم بها التعامل مع المشكلات لدى ظهورها في أفريقيا، مشيرا إلى أن هذه القضية "تحتاج إلى عملية إصلاح مؤسسي، وإعادة نظر في المقاربة من جانب صناع القرار، ليس فقط في المؤسسات الحكومية، ولكن أيضا في المنظمات القارية".وعن كيفية جسر الهوة بين الأكاديميين وصناع القرار، أكد أن "الوسيلة الوحيدة هو أن كل فئة منهم تفهم كيف تتعامل الفئة الأخرى مع كافة الموضوعات، لأن حجم المشاكل كبير وحجم التحديات يتزايد".وتحدث سويلم عن النزاعات وتداعياتها، مشيرا إلى أن المشكلة في المقاربة التي يستخدمها المجتمع الدولي ككل هي اللجوء إلى عملية إدارة للنزاع ومحاولة التخفيف من وطأته على المجتمعات وليس حله.

قضية القصة: تعالج القصة أثر الخلاف والفرقة وما يمكن أن يؤديا إليه من استغلال البعض، كما أنها تعالج أمورا أخرى كاليقظة والحذر من الوقوع في خديعة الآخرين.
