This week on Bloody Good Reads I’m joined by one of the most exciting names in modern YA horror and thriller fiction, Vincent Ralph, author of 14 Ways to Die, Lock the Doors, Secrets Never Die and One House Left.

We dive deep into the dark side of storytelling, discussing slashers, serial killers, horror movies, plot twists and why YA horror is absolutely exploding right now. Vincent also talks about his writing process, building tension, creating killers readers love to fear, and the pressure of keeping audiences guessing right until the final page.

Expect plenty of horror chat, writing talk, creepy inspirations, book recommendations and behind-the-scenes discussion on some of the biggest YA thrillers around right now.

If you’re into horror books, thriller novels, murder mysteries, slasher movies, suspense fiction or just love hearing authors talk passionately about the genre, this is an episode you won’t want to miss. Perfect for fans of Stephen King, Holly Jackson, Karen McManus and modern horror fiction.

The wheel has spoken… and the Year of the Wheel begins in brutal, barking style.

This month on Bloody Good Screen Movie Club, the hosts dive into two very different but equally unsettling horror picks chosen entirely at random. Our Main, ranty, event is the slow-burn slasher experiment In a Violent Nature, a film that flips the genre perspective by following the killer through the wilderness in chilling, methodical fashion. But first it’s time for something a little more… loyal. Good Boy, the haunted-house horror told from the perspective of a dog, currently streaming on Shudder.

Expect grumpiness, strong opinions, horror deep dives, and the usual chaos as the team kick off a brand-new podcast year with fate firmly in control.

Will the wheel bless us with hidden gems… or curse us with nightmares? There’s only one way to find out.

This week on Bloody Good Screen: 90’s Movie Club, Mark, Niall, and Marcus dive into two very different classics from the decade that defined blockbuster cinema.

First up, we go on the run with Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones in The Fugitive (1993), one of the greatest cat-and-mouse thrillers of the 90’s. Then, we swap suspense for slapstick with Leslie Nielsen in Naked Gun 2½: The Smell of Fear (1991), a comedy sequel packed with outrageous gags and deadpan brilliance.

Along the way, we also chat about our latest film watches, from past classics (or not) to modern releases, giving you plenty of recommendations for your next movie night.

If you love 90’s films, action thrillers, or classic comedy spoofs, this is the episode for you.

This week on Bloody Good Screen: Movie Club 90s Edition, we're diving headfirst into two of the most explosive, over-the-top sci-fi action flicks the decade had to offer: Paul Verhoeven’s satirical bug-blaster Starship Troopers and Michael Bay’s asteroid-smashing epic Armageddon.

Join Mark, Niall, and Marcus as they relive the glory (and chaos) of giant alien insects, questionable military propaganda, and Bruce Willis saving the world with nothing but oil rig grit and Aerosmith ballads. Is Starship Troopers a misunderstood masterpiece or just a gory space romp? Does Armageddon still make us cry… or cringe?

Grab your flamethrowers and space shuttles – it's time to settle into some proper 90s mayhem.

This week on Bloody Good Screen: 90’s Movie Club, we’re diving into a double dose of Arnie as we tackle two iconic — and wildly different — classics from the golden age of Schwarzenegger cinema.

First up, it’s memory implants, triple boob and Martian mayhem with Paul Verhoeven’s sci-fi epic Total Recall. We break down the mind-bending plot, the incredible practical effects, and question — was it all just a dream?

Then, we swap bullets for blackboards as Arnie goes undercover in Kindergarten Cop. From tough guy to lovable teacher, we talk heartwarming moments, chaotic classroom scenes, and where “It’s not a tumor!” became the most quotable line of the decade.

Expect plenty of nostalgia, 90's cinema and music chart trivia, and laughs as we pit action Arnie against wholesome Arnie in this ultimate 90s face-off!

A new year and a brand new season for the Screen Team. This year the team are heading back to the 90's for a year long series of 90's films.

This month the team delve into the Nicolas Cage action thriller Face/Off and, to mix things up a bit, the 90's comedy classic 10 Things I Hate About You.
