Where does the Dan Time go?? On this year-end recap, I take a minute to acknowledge some of the most exciting guests of 2024. I also take a minute to speak about what I've learned about amateur podcasting —and to beat back at some of the criticism you hear in the media.

A Thanksgiving Day conversation in my living room turned into a most unlikely Dan Time episode — with my mother, Janie Wigley! Some call it a BONUS episode. This is a TRIBUTE episode. And I am delighted to bring it to you.
This one is for the loyal Dan Time listeners. Well, it's for everyone - but it's especially for the never-miss-an-episode crowd. You know who you are and I appreciate each and every one of you. It's a rather absurd installment today. But without anyone to check me on even my most ridiculous impulses, this baby got the green light.
For years, I have considered the short-lived animated series Dan Vs. to be life-changing for me. I needed that brand of humor at that exact time and it carried me through an odd & uncertain period. It brings me great joy that fans of the show are still posting current and heartfelt reviews — and I decided to capture a few of them here. It was without question an inspiration for this podcast.
You get some nonsense on this "bonus-ode" — me reading select spam messages to the dantimepod inbox — and then you'll hear a series of Dan Vs. reviews. You will either find the humor in some of it, all of it or none of it. Stay tuned (hopefully in 2025) for a Dan Time appearance from one of the creators of the show.

As a graduate student, Dan then played the 2022 and '23 season for Palm Beach Atlantic of the Sunshine State Conference (SSC). Dan references his relationship with longtime Sailfish coach and former big-league pitcher Kent Bottenfield. Dan was twice awarded SSC Pitcher of the Week during his 2023 campaign with the Sailfish.
