  • It’s said that one in five marriages will face the painful sting of infidelity at some point. For some, it’s a single mistake—a fleeting lapse in judgment—that the couple can eventually work through. But for others, it’s something much darker. A repeated betrayal, chipping away at trust until only resentment and contempt remain. And in some cases, infidelity doesn't just damage a relationship; it ignites a firestorm of emotions that can lead someone to take extreme actions. Take the story of Rose Chase and her husband, Adam. When Adam confronted Rose about a photo showing her snuggled up to another man, something inside him snapped. What started as a simple confrontation quickly spiraled into a fiery argument—one that ended with Adam storming out of the house, never to return. Rose would later tell investigators that Adam had been so distraught over her affair that he left, never to be seen again. But where did Adam go? What happened to him? Adam had struggled with his mental health for years. Was he simply retreating into his own pain, seeking solace in isolation? Or did something more sinister unfold that day? This is a chilling tale of a missing person’s case with a tragic and deadly conclusion. This story reminds us that evil is everywhere and that the darkest sides of human nature are sometimes closer than we realize.

  • In 2020, an unsettling statistic surfaced: 37.3 million Americans were living with addiction to illegal substances. Addiction, a cruel and invisible force, tears apart lives, families, and futures. Jennifer Gail Paxton knew this pain all too well. For years, she was trapped in the grip of heroin addiction, a battle that slowly consumed her entire existence. Her addiction cost her dearly—most devastatingly, the custody of her seven children. What followed was a spiral of hopelessness and desperation. Homeless and alone, Jennifer wandered from place to place, consumed by her demons, until one day, a couple came into her life. They offered her what felt like a lifeline—a roof over her head, a place to stay. Jennifer, desperate for shelter, gratefully accepted. What she didn’t know, however, was that this act of kindness would be the start of something far darker. She had no idea who these strangers were, or the twisted desires they hid beneath their kind facades. In the following days, Jennifer’s life would unravel in ways that are almost too harrowing to believe. For over eight months, Jennifer’s family would be left in the dark, unaware of her whereabouts, unable to find any answers. When the truth finally came to light, it was far worse than anyone could have imagined. This story serves as a haunting reminder that evil can lurk in the most unexpected places, even in the homes of those who offer a helping hand. It’s a story that shows just how fragile life can be and how sometimes, even those who seem to be offering help may have hidden motives that are far from benign.

We’ll be discussing the tragic story of Sam Nordquist, a man who came to Western New York to meet a woman he had connected with online. What was meant to be the beginning of a promising relationship took a horrific turn when he encountered pure evil. While some of the perpetrators have been indicted, a trial date is still pending. In this bonus episode, we’ll share what we know so far, and we’ll continue to provide updates as more information comes to light. We all hope for justice, but we know that no matter what, nothing will ever bring Sam back. We also want to remind you that if you’d like to help Sam’s family during this unimaginable time—especially with the difficult travel between Minnesota and New York—there’s a link in the episode description and show notes where you can contribute. • Mary Vincent is an artist who brings powerful, uplifting women to life through vibrant chalk pastels – whether they’re everyday heroines or iconic female superheroes. But where does this inspiration come from? Is it a reflection of her work as a women’s advocate, or does it run even deeper, rooted in something more personal? Well, Mary Vincent was her own hero. In September of 1978, at just 15 years old, she found herself alone on the side of the road, trying to hitchhike from California back to Las Vegas. The solitude weighed heavily on her, but she wouldn’t be alone for long. A man pulled over, offering her the company and ride she had hoped for. But what she hadn’t expected was that the man’s intentions would turn her journey into a nightmare. In that moment, she realized that being alone might have been the safer, better choice. The man who first appeared kind and paternal, similar to a grandfather, would soon reveal a darkness beyond belief. Tune in to hear a story that reminds us that while evil is everywhere, so is strength and resilience.

  • Witch familiars, ghouls, fairies and ghosts. These beings produce certain images and situations in our heads of what they look like and how they act. But what if all these supernatural beings were all variations of one type of cryptid? Many ancient cultures describe some sort of paranormal being which relates to what is called a Jinn. Jinn are highly respected in Middle Eastern culture however it is unknown when the jinn first came to be. It is said they have been around for centuries before mankind even existed. When one hears jinn, most think of some evil, beastly creature. Not all jinn are evil though. Like mankind, they have the free will to choose to be evil or moral. There are many folklores which describe experiences with jinn. Join us as we talk about the history of jinn, who they are and how to protect oneself from those who mean to cause mankind harm.

  • From the dawn of time, sleep was meant to bring rest and rejuvenation. Time for your body to take a break, to heal, to grow. But for centuries, millions of people around the world have had their sleep disturbed by something terrifying and possibly otherworldly. Imagine waking up with the inability to move, to speak, to scream out for help. And while you’re there laying in bed, in the dark, trapped within your own body you sense a presence and possibly even see the shadow, the silhouette of a man standing in your room or in your doorway with no distinguishable features other than his round brimmed hat. Otherwise known as the Hat Man, this being or as some would call, sleep paralysis demon, has visited the homes of millions throughout history. Gaining traction online in the last two decades, so many people around the world were able to connect with their shared experiences. But who is the Hat Man? Where does he come from? Is he some evil entity that appears to terrify his victims, is he some type of silent watch dog coming to watch over you if you’re going through a heartbreak or stressful time in your life, or is the Hat Man a figure that lies in the collective unconscious? An image passed down through generations, across cultures and across time. What do you think?

  • Sian O’Callaghan was a beautiful and vivacious woman living in Swindon, England with her boyfriend Kevin. When Sian failed to come home one evening after a night out on the town with friends, Kevin reported her missing to the Wiltshire Police. An investigation immediately ensued to find the missing woman. It didn’t take long for investigators to find a suspect with the help of CCTV footage around the Swindon area. Under the impression Sian was still alive, this suspect was put under police surveillance with hopes of leading police to where Sian was. With time running out, the suspect was arrested and interviewed for information, instead of being taken to the police station. This suspect led detectives to the area where he had left Sian
and provided a bombshell statement which led to the discovery of another victim. These confessions were ultimately ruled as inadmissible when it came time to go to trial. This tragic case reminds us all to keep an eye on our friends and sometimes what’s moral, isn’t always lawful.

  • Claypool Hill, VA is a small town surrounded by stunning scenery in Southwest VA. The town is close knit and friendly, with every member of the community treating each other like family, even to those just passing through. The people felt safe in their small town. That feeling immediately went away on March 30, 2009 when the bodies of two esteemed members of the community were found horrifically murdered. Harvey and Valerie Looney were known for being the most heart-warming, welcoming couple in this small town - Harvey always with a smile and Valerie with her contagious laugh. This couple was found in their place of employment, deceased, as another employee was opening the restaurant for the day. The brutal scene shocked everyone, even the police who knew the couple well. It wouldn’t be for almost 4 years until an answer to this horrible crime would be received. What evil would take the lives of two friendly, wholesome people in this small community?

  • Imagine taking a trip to the glacial wilderness along the Knik River in Alaska. Taking in the beautiful scenery, the crisp cold air and possibly seeing the northern lights. Everything surrounding you filling you with tranquility. Whether you’re there to hunt or to hike, it is impossible to miss its beauty. But while taking that in and setting up camp for the night you stumble upon an odd boot on the ground and when you go to investigate, you quickly realize that the boot is attached to a body. Your calm and serene experience turned into a nightmare. That is what happened for two off duty officers back in the 1980’s. But the body they found wouldn’t be the only body that would be located in the following years. The 1970s and 1980s in Alaska some refer to as a period of time similar to the Wild Wild West. While some had lived in Alaska for generations, others found there way there while running from their pasts. It was a place people could start fresh and no one would ever really question it. But what happens, when the new family in town brings along an evil that would unleash terror on the community. Once considered a church going family man, bakery owner Robert Hansen would eventually be known as the Butcher Baker. This story is a reminder that evil is everywhere. And it may even lurk behind the counter at your favorite local bakery.

  • What would you do if you were on an airplane, and you found out one of the passengers had a bomb? This question probably goes through the minds of flight crews on every airline around the world. This nightmare became a reality for Northwest Airlines Flight 305 in Portland, OR on November 24, 1971. After handing a note to a flight attendant, the hijacker demanded money, parachutes and a flight to Mexico. After the plane refueled and took off, the hijacker jumped out of the plane somewhere between Seattle WA and Reno, NV
NEVER to be seen again. This infamous hijacker became known as DB Cooper. Nearly 54 years after the incident, there are still no answers to his whereabouts, his identity, or if he even survived the jump. The exact moment he jumped could not be pinpointed as no one saw. Numerous ground searches were conducted through various areas of potential landing but nothing was found. No money, no parachute and no body. Hundreds of suspects came around but none panned out, something definitive would usually rule them out. Join us as we take a dive into the mystery of DB Cooper. Who do you think he was??

  • In 2009, it is estimated that over 700,000 people were reported missing in the United States alone. The fear, the unknowing, the mental anguish that comes with having a family member, friend or other loved one go missing is unimaginable. This is something we all hope to never experience. But unfortunately for the Murillo-Moncada family, on November 28, 2009, their 25-year-old son, Larry Ely Murillo-Moncada would go missing. While struggling with his mental health and experiencing debilitating symptoms such as paranoia, hallucinations and delusions, Larry ran out of the family home. That day a blizzard had taken over Council Bluffs, Iowa where the family lived. When Larry ran out of their home, he had nothing but a hoodie and a pair of pants on. He had no jacket, no socks and no shoes. For YEARS, Larry’s family tirelessly searched for him. But where did he go? It wouldn’t be until 10 years later that this family would finally get some answers.

  • San Antonio is known for being the home of the Alamo, many other historic sites and numerous military bases. After meeting her air force major husband, Andreen McDonald came to the United States from her home country of Jamaica to build her life. As a successful and motivated business woman, Andreen built a multi million dollar enterprise to support her, her family, including her beautiful daughter. After allegations of an affair and business disputes, her marriage began to crumble. Then one day Andreen went missing unexpectedly. With very little evidence police investigate further into her husband, who had lawyered up. Suspicious evidence was discovered but not enough to charge her husband with murder. After months go by, Andreen’s remains were uncovered. Who could have harmed this beautiful woman? Did her husband truly dispose of her so callously?

  • Trinidad and Tobago are two islands located in the Caribbean. These islands draw in hundreds of thousands of tourists each season for the stunning beaches, the rainforests, the music, the food and the culture. While the rest of the world sees these islands as a beautiful place for rest and relaxation, over 1 million people call these islands home. And that was the case for five men, Christopher Boodram, Kazim Ali, Jr., Yusuf Henry, Rishi Nagasaar and Fyzal Kurban. Chris, Kazim, Yusuf, Rishi and Fyzal worked for Land and Marine Construction Services Limited or LMCS as professional divers who spent their days working on underwater pipelines. Friday, February 25, 2022, would begin like any other – these five men were instructed to conduct maintenance on an underwater pipeline. While the five men were within a hyperbaric chamber placed on a riser at Berth 6 of the pipeline, the unthinkable happened. While deflating a newly placed plug that was within the pipeline, the pressure differential created a vortex of water, air, and divers. The five men were sucked instantly into the pipeline and forced to fight for their lives in nothing but water, oil and darkness. Finding little air pockets that were unfortunately filled with contaminated air, the men had hope and were going to fight to survive. But would anyone make it out of the pipeline alive? Would rescue ever come? Listen to hear the story of five men whose struggle for survival would end in an unimaginable tragedy.

  • Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. We are all familiar with this phrase from the play “The Mourning Bride” by William Congreve. This is what came to law enforcement and prosecutor’s minds when learning of the death of Ryan Carter Poston. Ryan was an overly nice, laid back, impeccably looking attorney living in Kentucky. All of that came crashing down when 911 operators received a call from a woman who shot Ryan, claiming self-defense. But this statement did not match the evidence. This woman’s statements and actions during an interview clearly pointed to outright murder. Tune in to hear about Ryan and how a tumultuous, obsessive relationship resulted in an act of pure evil.

  • There is a term for what people may experience when a loved one goes missing – and that term is an ambiguous loss. A loss that has no real resolution or closure. These families often have no idea if their loved one is dead or alive or if they’ll ever see them again. That is what the Kesse family has had to endure for the last 19 years. Friday, January 24, 2025, will be the 19th anniversary of the disappearance of Jennifer Kesse from Orlando, Florida. On January 24, 2006, on a seemingly normal Tuesday morning, it is believed that Jennifer got up and got ready for work, however, she unfortunately ever made it. Jennifer disappeared without a trace and without any sign of a struggle. Her car, a 2004 chevy malibu, that was unable to be located the day Jennifer disappeared, was found two days later in the visitor parking lot of a nearby complex. But again, nothing appeared to have been taken and there was no sign of a struggle. Who could have taken her? Where could she be? Listen to the story of the tragic disappearance of Jennifer Kesse and the story of a family that refuses to give up. ****The Facebook and Website created by Drew and Joyce Kesse are linked below for additional information regarding Jennifer's Disappearance and how you can help. Also linked below is a GoFundMe for those able to assist the Kesse's in financially supporting their efforts to find their daughter.

  • Similar to the American Gothic painting, the Mullis family portrayed the positive image of rural American values. Todd a farmer, and Amy a nurse and farmer, chose the rural area of Earlville, IA to raise their three children while operating a hog farm. The community was chilled to the bone when Amy Mullis was found, stabbed in the family’s shed. After being rushed to the hospital by her husband and ambulances, Amy was pronounced dead. Her husband reported the incident as an accident, however Amy’s autopsy showed signs otherwise. The investigation ultimately led to the arrest of Todd Mullis, Amy’s husband, despite one their children giving him an alibi. To this day, Todd maintains his innocence and has gained support all around the country. Was Amy truly murdered by her own husband?

  • "You know the only thing that kills demons, is love" is what Mickey Knox said to Mallory in the 1994 film, Natural Born Killers. Instead of a movie about a crazy murderous couple, 23-year-old Jeremy believed it was the best love story there was. Jeremy, a then 23-year-old living in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada would believe that his best love story involved then 12-year-old, Jasmine Richardson. But was this a love story? Or a tale of manipulation and obsession? Jasmine’s parents Marc and Debra did not approve of their pre-teen dating a 23-year-old man and tried everything in their power to keep him away from their daughter. But nothing, including Jasmines parents would stand in their way. They were determined to be together, even if that meant people had to die. This is a story that reminds us that evil is everywhere
even in those you’d least suspect.
