  • The Edmonton Oilers are now in full off season mode with the NHL Draft starting today and free agency opening up on Monday. The Oilers don't have any top core players heading to free agency; however, they still have the likes of Warren Foegele, Adam Henrique and Mattias Janmark all pending as unrestricted free agency. Liam, Rick, Dan and Tyler, for a short period of the show, dove into who the Oilers should look to bring back and who they should move on from. As the show moved on, they talked about Ken Holland after it was announced earlier this week that he would no longer be the general manager. The guys gave their thoughts his Holland's time here deciding if his tenure was successful or a failure. They then closed out the show with Ask the Idiots and Hot and Cold performers.

  • The Edmonton Oilers quest for a sixth Stanley Cup came to an end last night, losing 2-1 to the Florida Panthers. The lose put a somber tone on today's edition of Oilersnation Radio. With Tyler and Baggedmilk travelling and Rick still in his feels, Liam and Nation Dan took the wheel along with Woz, Kennedy and, special guest, Captain Feltan.

Of the jump, the five of them recapped Game 7 and talked about what went wrong for the Oilers. Was it the early goal by the Florida Panthers? The play of Sergei Bobrovsky? Or not rolling the lines in the third period? From there, they continued to discuss the Final but specifically Connor McDavid's Conn Smythe win. They reviewed the final ballot and talked about McDavid not collecting the award on the ice.

As the show continued on, the gang started to have some fun with Dan's 3 v 3 game. This weeks topic was "Oilers Superfans" which was fitting with Captain Feltan in the room. They ran through that and then played "Can you clear this up for me?" which is Woz's signature segment.

  • It's Friday afternoon, and that means a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio has been edited and ready to massage your ear holes. The major difference this week is that the Oilers are fighting for their lives in Game 6 with the chance to push this series back to Florida for a seventh and deciding game.

The boys started the Friday episode of Oilersnation Radio discussing what their non-negotiables are for Game 6 if the Oilers are going to win their third straight elimination game. Whether it's being strong on the special teams, limiting mistakes, keeping Florida to the outside of the ice, getting saves, or anything in between, there are lots of details the Oilers will need to focus on if they're going to extend the series.

Changing gears, we looked back at Game 5 and what the Oilers did well in that win and what they need to improve on. Needless to say, beating the Panthers for a third straight time will be incredibly difficult, but Baggedmilk wanted to know what needs to be carried over and what needs to be scrapped ahead of the most important home game in nearly two decades.

Lastly, we wrapped up the episode of ONR with another round of Ask the Idiots and Hot and Cold Performers before winding down with some score predictions ahead of a do-or-die Game 6 against the Florida Panthers. As always, the Friday episode of Oilersnation Radio was a blast to record, and we all hope you had just as much fun listening as we did making it.

  • The Edmonton Oilers are fighting for their lives tonight in Game 5, which meant there was plenty for the boys to discuss on the Tuesday episode of Oilersnation Radio. On the Tuesday episode of ONR, the boys covered the Oilers' commanding Game 4 win, what they need to do to extend the series, and the rumours from last week that the team has engaged in extension talks with Leon Draisaitl.

We kicked off the Tuesday episode of Oilersnation Radio with a delicious debate about why everyone thinks the Oilers will still be alive tomorrow morning. Everybody knows how tough it's going to be for the Oilers to go into Sunrise and win their first road game of the series with their backs against the wall, but Baggedmilk wanted to hear why everyone thinks the job can still get done. No one is saying it will be easy, but that doesn't mean it's impossible.

Changing gears, the guys needed to spend some time discussing what it was like to experience a Stanley Cup Final win in Edmonton on Saturday night. Whether you were at the game or downtown, the celebration was unavoidable, and the jubilation was very easy to get swept up in. And since the Oilers won Game 4 so handily, it was fair to wonder if any of the lessons and successes from that win can carry over into a do-or-die Game 5 matchup on the road.

Finally, we wrapped up the Tuesday edition of ONR with another round of Dan's 3v3 game, which was all about the greatest comebacks we could think of. Finally, Baggedmilk stepped in for Woz for another edition of Can You Clear That Up For Me, which was centred around the parallels between the NBA/NHL finals and whether or not the Oilers' season can be deemed a success regardless of the result in Game 5.

  • It's Friday afternoon, and that means a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio has been edited and ready to massage your ear holes. The major difference this week is that the Oilers are down three games, the sky seems to be falling, and we still had to try and grind out a podcast that's entertaining for everyone. Needless to say, it wasn't fun.

The boys started the Friday episode of Oilersnation Radio with a delicious debate about what has been the biggest issue with the Oilers falling 3-0 to start their series against the Florida Panthers. For most of the boys, it's the lack of offence that has let them down the most. With only four goals scored in nine periods of play, the Oilers haven't been able to score nearly as much as they usually do.

From there, the guys fell off the rails again. They were clearly trying to avoid talking about the Oilers' current position in the Stanley Cup Final and wanted to talk about literally anything other than hockey. From pop rankings to banana shenanigans to how many Taco Bell Cantinas there are in the U.S.A., there was no topic too dumb to spend time on to avoid talking hockey.

Lastly, we wrapped up the episode of ONR with another round of Ask the Idiots and Hot and Cold Performers before winding down with some score predictions ahead of a do-or-die Game 4 against the Florida Panthers. As always, the Friday episode of Oilersnation Radio was a blast to record, and we all hope you had just as much fun listening as we did making it.

  • It’s another episode of Oilersnation Radio coming to you live from the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Not live as in we’re in Florida, but we are still very much alive.

This week Dan and Rick are joined by Kennedy (Oilersnation Design Extraordinaire) and Brett Holden (Blue Jays Nation Expert and Oilersnation Content Machine) to talk hockey and all things Oilers and Panthers.

Haters of the show will say it’s “copium” but the group went to breaking down the issues that have brought us to where we are, as well as reasons to be optimistic. The borderline/penalized play of the Finals is discussed as well as a rousing edition of Dan’s 3v3 Game.

Tune in every Tuesday and Friday during the season to hear the number one Oilers centric podcast (according to our parents) podcast on your radio dial, Oilersnation Radio Podcast.

  • It's Friday afternoon, and that means a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio has been edited and ready to massage your ear holes. The major difference this week is that we're just over 24 hours away from the biggest playoff series Oilersnation has ever seen. Are you excited? We were excited.

The boys started the Friday episode of Oilersnation Radio with a delicious debate about what makes this series winnable for the Edmonton Oilers. If you believe what many of the pundits say, this series was basically over before it even started, but that was pretty much the same messaging we saw in the last round, too. So, what do the Oilers have to do to SIUTBSOHC once again? From our side of the microphone, everyone on the podcast actually loved that everyone doubts their abilities.

Changing gears, we looked at the latest line combos from the team's morning skate today in Florida and wondered if this will actually be what we see tomorrow or if Kris Knoblauch is playing games. We also dove into the article that made waves around the country earlier this week when some dude named Greg Cote called Connor McDavid "McOverrated." He then doubled down after getting dunked on repeatedly by saying McDavid is an underachiever.

Lastly, we wrapped up the episode of ONR with another round of Ask the Idiots and Hot and Cold Performers before winding down with some score predictions ahead of Game 1 against the Florida Panthers. As always, the Friday episode of Oilersnation Radio was a blast to record, and we all hope you had just as much fun listening as we did making it.

  • We're only days away from the Oilers playing in the Stanley Cup Final for the first time in 18 years, which meant there was plenty to talk about on the Tuesday episode of Oilersnation Radio. From expectations to being the underdogs once again, today's fresh episode of ONR was a lot of fun to record, and we hope you enjoy listening.

The Tuesday podcast kicked off with a delicious debate on the pivotal moments of the Western Conference Final. The heart-stopping comeback in Game 4 and the electrifying awakening of the power play in Game 5 were among the highlights that turned the series on its head.

Changing gears, the guys looked at some of the future bets for the Stanley Cup Final and tried to decide where to put our money for the SCF. Tyler offered up a handful of bets on everything from the series outcome to who would have the most goals/points, and it was up to the fellas to decide whether that was good value or not.

Finally, we wrapped up the Tuesday edition of ONR with another round of Dan's 3v3 game, which was all about tourist locations in and around Florida. Finally, the boys brought Woz in for another edition of Can You Clear That Up For Me, which was mostly centred on how this Cup run differs (if at all) from what happened back in 2006.

  • It's Friday afternoon, and that means a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio has been edited and ready to massage your ear holes.

We started the Friday episode of ONR with a delicious debate about what we expect the Oilers to do in Game 5 to avoid the same result they got in the same situation in Vancouver. Given that the team played as poorly as they did in this exact spot in the last round, there are plenty of lessons the Oilers may have learned, and we tried to outline as many of those spots as possible.

Changing gears, we looked at Kris Knoblauch's lineup decisions this past week ahead of Game 4. A lot of Oilers fans questioned putting Corey Perry and Philip Broberg into that game, but it was another set of moves by Knobby that really turned out well. Regardless of what decision he makes, there will be plenty of pressure on either guy to come through with a clutch performance.

Lastly, we wrapped up the Friday episode of ONR with another round of Ask the Idiots and Hot and Cold Performers before winding down with some score predictions ahead of Game 5 against the Dallas Stars. As always, the Friday episode of Oilersnation Radio was a blast to record, and we all hope you had just as much fun listening as we did making it.

  • There's no other way to describe Game 3 other than a complete debacle for the Oilers. What started out as a fantastic performance early on turned into a train wreck after the Oilers gave up three goals in the second period in a span of under five minutes. That shocking disregard for defending meant there was plenty to discuss on the Tuesday episode of Oilersnation Radio.

We started the Tuesday episode of Oilersnation Radio with a delicious debate about what the Oilers should do with their blue line ahead of Game 4. According to our pal Frank Seravalli, Kris Knoblauch hinted that the Oilers could make some changes to his defensive group, and we wondered who is the most likely to come out of the lineup. Is it Desharnais? Is it Cody Ceci? Someone else?

Changing gears, we spent some time working through a couple of our signature bits, such as some betting talk for bet365, Dan's 3v3 game, and Woz's signature segment, Can You Clear That Up For Me?

Starting with our betting segment, Tyler walked the squad through a few futures bets in the Oilers/Stars series before wrapping things up with a look at Game 4 between the Panthers and Rangers. For Dan's 3v3 game, we put together what we think is the best BBQ we could possibly put together if we're only allowed to bring three items and have one country song blasting on the speakers. Finally, Woz wasn't in the office today because of some computer issues, but Baggedmilk stepped up to the plate and handled the segment.

  • It's an on-location edition of Oilersnation Radio, and the boys had plenty to talk about after a huge Game 1 win last night in Dallas.

The boys started the podcast with a delicious debate about why we believe the Oilers are good enough to win the series against a very strong Dallas Stars team. Let's be honest: The Stars are probably the biggest challenge the Oilers have had so far in these playoffs, and watching them play as well as they did last night gave us plenty of reasons to believe.

Changing gears, we looked ahead at Game 2 and offered our takes on what the Oilers need to do to steal a second straight game in Dallas. From taking care of the puck in all three zones to maintaining their defensive structure, if the Oilers offer up another 60 minutes of hockey like that, then we should be in a really good spot.

Finally, the boys wrapped up the podcast with another round of Ask the Idiots, which revolved around what the Oilers did well on Thursday and how they can keep it going again on Saturday. We also ran through an extended version of Hot and Cold Performers, which examined the ups and downs from the seven days of our lives.

  • The Edmonton Oilers punched their ticket to the Western Conference Final with a thrilling 3-2 win over the Vancouver Canucks, punching their ticket to Dallas with a clutch performance.

The guys started the podcast with a delicious debate about who we would name as our three MVPs from the Oilers' series against the Vancouver Canucks. We also discussed who were the unsung heroes in that series, and it was fun to hear everyone's take on who stepped up and why. Given that there were plenty of players who rose to the challenge, the list was varied.

Changing gears, we looked ahead at the series against the Dallas Stars and what to expect from an opponent that so many of us despise from those playoff series back in the 90s and early 2000s. If you're old enough to remember those series, this upcoming round against the Stars has decades worth of irritation that's likely to come.

Finally, we wrapped up the Tuesday episode of Oilersnation Radio with another round of Dan's 3v3 game and Woz's signature segment 'Can You Clear That Up For Me' before wrapping up the podcast with a few score predictions ahead of Thursday's Game 1 against the Dallas Stars.

  • After an abysmal effort by the Oilers over the final 40 minutes of Game 5, today's episode of Oilersnation Radio was a tough one for all of us to record. Needless to say, we thought the second episode of ONR of the week was going to be a lot happier than it ended up being, but that's the NHL playoffs for you.

We started the Friday episode of ONR with a delicious debate about what we expect the Oilers to do better in Game 6 than they did last night in Vancouver. Given that the team played as poorly as they did at Rogers Arena, there are plenty of areas where the Oilers can improve, and we tried to outline as many of those spots as possible.

Changing gears, we looked at the goaltending decision that's coming for Game 6. A lot of Oilers fans would easily go back to Pickard after his performance in Vancouver, but does that mean Kris Knoblauch will feel the same way? Regardless of what decision he makes, there will be plenty of pressure on either guy to come through with a clutch performance.

Lastly, we wrapped up the Friday episode of ONR with another round of Ask the Idiots and Hot and Cold Performers before wrapping up the podcast with some score predictions ahead of Game 6 against the Vancouver Canucks. As always, the Friday episode of Oilersnation Radio was a blast to record, and we all hope you had just as much fun listening as we did making it.

  • The Oilers find themselves down 2-1 in their series against the Vancouver Canucks, and that means the pressure is on for our boys to rebound tonight at Rogers Place.

We kicked off the Tuesday episode of Oilersnation Radio with a delicious debate about the Oilers' goaltending, specifically whether giving Calvin Pickard the start in Game 4 was the right call. Given that Skinner has been the team's starter for the entire 2023-24 season, it is a curious decision for Kris Knoblauch to make in such a crucial playoff game.

Changing gears, we looked back at Game 3 and how that game should have been an Oilers win had it not been for the costly errors in their own zone and inability to get a save. Even though a lot of Oilers fans are pointing their finger at Stuart Skinner, we talked about the larger team issues that contributed to the loss rather than just singling out one guy.

Finally, we wrapped up the Tuesday episode of Oilersnation Radio with another round of Dan's 3v3 game and Woz's signature segment 'Can You Clear That Up For Me' before wrapping up the podcast with a few score predictions ahead of tomorrow's Game 1 against the Vancouver Canucks.

  • It's Friday afternoon and the Oilers are hours away from taking on the Canucks for Game 2, and that meant an on-the-road edition of Oilersnation Radio to preview the evening and recap what went wrong on Wednesday.

We started the podcast with a delicious debate about why we should remain optimistic ahead of Game 2 even though things went horribly wrong on Wednesday in Game 1. From the Oilers' ability to rebound after a bad night to Connor McDavid being held shotless, there were details from the first game in this series that are unlikely to repeat for two straight games.

Looking back on Game 1, we talked about the way the Oilers collapsed in the third period and how they need to keep pushing forward rather than trying to lock things down. When you're up against a skilled team like the Vancouver Canucks, sitting back to try and ride the clock out is a risky move.

Finally, we wrapped up the podcast with another round of Ask the Idiots and Hot and Cold Performers before offering our score predictions ahead of Game 2. After a tough loss on Wednesday, this on-the-road episode of Oilersnation Radio was a blast to record, and we all hope you had just as much fun listening as we did making it.

  • Oilersnation Radio, your favourite twice-weekly podcast, is back with a fresh episode to spice up your week and talk all. Get ready for some riveting Oilers discussions and debates.

Kicking off the Tuesday episode of ONR, we got started with a delicious debate about whether or not anything concerns us about the upcoming series against the Vancouver Canucks. Given that most pundits have the Oilers winning this series, should we be concerned about the Canucks rolling into the series with an underdog mentality?

Sticking with the Oilers, we looked at some of the lineup details that came out this morning. Unfortunately for Edmonton, it looks like Adam Henrique will miss Game 1 with a lower-body injury sustained lane in Round 1, meaning someone else will need to step up in his place.

Changing gears, we looked around the NHL at some of the other series that are already underway and whether there's a matchup outside of our own that we're excited about. We also looked back at Round 1 and discussed whether or not we were disappointed that the Golden Knights got bumped, eliminating any possibility of exacting revenge.

Finally, we wrapped up the Tuesday episode of Oilersnation Radio with another round of Dan's 3v3 game before wrapping up the podcast with a few score predictions ahead of tomorrow's Game 1 against the Vancouver Canucks.

  • It's Friday afternoon and that means Oilersnation Radio is back with a fresh episode of the podcast full of Oilers talk to carry you through the weekend. This week, we recapped Game 5 from Edmonton vs. L.A., looked ahead at what's to come in Round 2, and welcomed former Oiler Brendan Perlini to the show to talk playoffs, positivity, and whatever else is going on in his life.

Kicking off the Friday podcast, we started ONR with a delicious debate about who was the Oilers' MVP and unsung hero during the first round of the playoffs before diving into a recap from Game 5, where the Oilers wrapped up Round 1 and sent the Kings to book tee times. We also touched on the players we thought played well and which guys we think need to step in Round 2.

From there, we welcome Brendan Perlini to the podcast to talk a little bit about his time in Edmonton, the Lamborghini Perlini nickname, what it meant to him to play in Arizona now that they're leaving for Utah, and what he's got planned for his upcoming YouTube channel.

Finally, we wrapped up the podcast with a look around the NHL, including the Bruins' inability to close out Leafs and tonight's Game 6 between the Canucks/Preds before wrapping up with another round of Hot and Cold performers.

  • Oilersnation Radio, your favourite twice-weekly podcast, is back with a fresh episode to spice up your week and talk all. Get ready for some riveting Oilers discussions and debates. This week, we discussed the Oilers' two big wins in L.A., how fantastic Stuart Skinner has been, and looked around the early days of the NHL playoffs.

Kicking off this week's show, the guys started with a delicious debate about which Oiler has been the most surprising through the first four games of the playoffs so far. Whether it's Vinny Desharnais' progression on the blue line or Dylan Holloway playing incredibly well, there are plenty of players stepping up for the post-season, and it's been fun to watch the depth players have some success.

Changing gears, we looked around the NHL at what's going on in the other playoff series. From the Leafs and Jets being on the brink of elimination to a potential matchup between the Oilers and Kings, it's been an electric first round so far. Needless to say, there were plenty of storylines to cover, and the results from tonight's matchups will start to set the table for what happens in round two.

Lastly, we wrapped up the Tuesday episode of ONR with another round of Can You Clear That Up for Me before wrapping up the podcast with some score predictions ahead of tomorrow's Game 5 against the Kings. As always, the Tuesday episode of Oilersnation Radio was a lot of fun to record, and we all hope you had just as much fun listening as we did making it.

  • We're in Los Angeles to cover the Oilers' matchup with the Kings, and that meant pushing the Friday episode of Oilersnation Radio back a day so that we could discuss the first game at Crypto.com Arena.

Kicking off the Game 3 recap edition of the podcast, we started with a delicious debate about whether or not we think the Oilers will be able to finish the Kings off in five games. As you'll hear, the boys are drinking the Kool-Aid and feel like last night's dominant win is only the beginning. That said, the job is not done, and while we believe the series won't last long, the players can't have that same attitude.

Changing gears, we spent a little bit of time talking about all of the amazing Oilers fans who came down to Los Angeles for the games and how it's always incredible to see how well this fanbase travels. There are no better people on earth than fans of the Edmonton Oilers, and it was incredible to celebrate such a dominant win together.

Lastly, we wrapped up the Saturday episode of ONR with another round of Ask the Idiots and Hot and Cold Performers before wrapping up the podcast with some score predictions ahead of Game 1 against the Los Angeles Kings. After a big playoff win, this

hungover episode of Oilersnation Radio was a blast to record, and we all hope you had just as much fun listening as we did making it.

  • Oilersnation Radio, your go-to twice-weekly podcast, is back with a brand new episode to spice up your week. Get ready for some riveting Oilers discussions and debates. This week, we discussed the Oilers' Game 1 win, how annoying the LA Kings are, and looked around the early days of the NHL playoffs.

To kick off the Tuesday podcast, we had a delicious debate about what was the most impressive aspect of that Game 1 win. From the way they opened the scoring quickly to the way they ignored the Kings' nonsense after the whistles, the Oilers were so much better than LA that the score almost didn't do the game justice.

We also talked about the Kings' being outmatched in terms of skill and how the only way they can compete is to try and steer the game into the ditch. Every chance they had, LA was sticking/punching/hacking Edmonton's players to try and get them off their game, but the good news is that our boys navigated the challenge quite well.

Lastly, we wrapped up the Tuesday episode of ONR with another round of Can You Clear That Up for Me before wrapping up the podcast with some score predictions ahead of tomorrow's Game 2 against the Kings. As always, the Tuesday episode of Oilersnation Radio was a lot of fun to record, and we all hope you had just as much fun listening as we did making it.
