In this Light Shop recap, we're covering episode three of the Disney+ K-drama horror-mystery, "The Detective." This one shifts focus to a detective who loves nothing more than a good monologue, a chef who somehow runs an entire restaurant solo (and makes us insanely hungry doing it), and a cold case file with a very familiar ghost pinned to the board. It's a slower, stranger episode that almost feels like a detour from the main story — but it quietly answers one of our biggest running theories about who exactly ends up haunting that alley, and why.
New theories, some contradictions we can't explain yet, and zero idea what's actually going on between the Light Shop owner and the lady in white. Business as usual.

Well. We knew this show was going to be weird, but nobody warned us it'd be this scary. Laura opens the episode with a full apology in advance, and honestly? Deserved. There's a scene in this one that had one of us physically spinning our chair around just to avoid watching it.
Episode two follows a woman house-hunting in the world's creepiest alley, who obviously ignores every single red flag — including a locked door the realtor swears is "just an unfinished room, don't worry about it." Spoiler: worry about it. From there we get deep into ghost lore, some surprisingly emotional coma-patient theories, and a confirmed correct guess from last episode that we are extremely proud of. It all builds to a wild final scene back at the Light Shop involving a suitcase, some suspicious dripping, and a cop who picks the worst possible moment to walk in asking questions.
We're two episodes in and already fully cursed. Come get cursed with us.

New show, who dis? With From on pause till Season 5, we're diving headfirst into Light Shop — an 8-episode K-drama that Laura found on a YouTube shorts binge (we've all been there) and immediately had to track down because it looked "super creepy, super weird." Neither of us has seen this before, so buckle up for some extremely confident wrong guesses.Episode one throws a lot at us: a mysterious woman who keeps showing up at the same bus stop every night with a suitcase, a businessman who really should know better than to invite strangers (or ghosts?) into his apartment, a very ominous hospital visitor asking about the morgue, and a guy losing his entire mind under a blanket because he's cold (relatable, but also, sir). Oh, and the actual Light Shop itself — which, yes, we spent way too long talking about how much we'd love to just live there. Is everyone a ghost? Is no one a ghost? Are we the ghosts? We have theories. They're probably wrong. Come be wrong with us.

Episode 6 of From left us with one major feeling: frustration. While "The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter" delivers a few important reveals—including a terrifying discovery beneath Colony House, a disturbing new twist involving Sophia, and confirmation that Jade's mushroom-fueled visions may have been right all along—it also feels like one of the season's weakest episodes.
In this recap, Laura and Lauren break down Boyd and Jade's ongoing clash over the children's bones, Donna's shocking medical emergency, Victor's heartbreaking guilt over his father, Julie finally finding someone who understands what she's going through, and why we're extremely worried about Henry after one very suspicious drink. We also discuss the creepy Coraline-style body found at the settlement, the growing mystery of Fatima's golem, and whether From is finally building toward the answers we've been waiting for—or just stalling for time.
If you love horror TV deep dives, fan theories, character analysis, and two hosts questioning every decision Boyd makes, join us as we unpack an episode that may have moved the story forward... but definitely tested our patience along the way.
