then you would arrive at Kenshiro who is a supernatural martial artist betrayed by his brothers and his best friend over a woman, so that he is out of the way for the friend to steal the girl and one of evil brothers to win the mantle of a magical power Ken is supposed to inherit. Note when this movie was made the same animation team working and airing the anime show also worked on the movie
Based on an incredible manga called Fist of the Big Dipper.

James Avery, aka Shredder, aka Uncle Phil does the voice of fang in the English Dub.

Hokuto no Ken was released in Japan on VHS in 1988, two years after its theatrical release. The late release was due to the decision to animate a new ending. Unlike the theatrical version, in which Kenshiro falls unconscious during the final battle, the revised ending has both fighters still standing when they're about to deliver their mutual finishing blows before they're interrupted by Lin.

  • Talking about why werewolf movies are always underrated in cinema, and the discussion includes a movie that stands alone as featuring a Cybernetic Werewolf called Project Metalbeast. Plus James Caan, James Bond, and jumping for joy over this mysterious Sean Bean werewolf movie that may or not exist.

Tonight's movie is Project Metalbeast. A shadow branch of the US government wants to win the Cold War by engineering werewolf soldiers. They infiltrate a retired werewolf’s castle and instead of taking the werewolf into custody, they kill it, and take its blood. Then, Agent Sitcom played by Barry Bostwick decides to add cybernetic skin to his werewolf test subject because why wouldn’t you want your werewolf (Kane Hodder) to be impervious to silver bullets thus rendering it invincible to the only known way to stop a werewolf.

Tonight's movie gets compared to Bad Moon, Dog Soldiers, The Wolfman 2010, Trick 'r' Treat, Howling VI: The Freaks, and Ginger Snaps 2.

Tonight's episode is sponsored by KEEPS.
