Ellen Pompeo (aka Meredith from Grey’s Anatomy) was on Call Her Daddy recently and said it’s impossible to be 100% present at work if you’re a mother because there will always be a part of you that’s thinking about your kid(s). Steph recommended the episode last week and Laura listened so we could unpack it together. Plus we speak about the news of Ellen’s $20 million dollar contract and why we hate women speaking about money.

We’ve got a bit going on this week!
First up - a group of content creators, founders & podcasters (mostly women) were invited to Canberra to attend the Budget lock-up and were dismissed as "self-obsessed Gen-Z and millennial influencers".
We share our feelings about the term "influencer" and how we feel when it's applied to us.
Plus we share some of the rogue DMs we’ve received recently.
Someone told Laura she looked pregnant which inspired us to chat about the pressure women feel to suck their tummies in.
And can men and women be friends? Not according to someone who saw Josh at a concert with his best (female) mate and messaged Steph about it.

Plus Steph & Liv speak about eating for ADHD - what foods and nutrients are best for focus and energy, the importance of protein, organising your fridge to better suit an ADHDers' brain, and how to deal with a suppressed appetite while taking ADHD meds.

For this episode, Steph sits down with her husband, Josh Miller, and relationship coach (and friend of the podcast) Megan Luscombe for a very honest conversation about how Steph’s ADHD shows up in their relationship.
They discuss the four areas where Steph feels her ADHD playing out most often - physical touch & affection, brutal honesty, zoning out and tidiness, and the guilt & shame that Steph carries for not being able to change certain things about herself.
They work through possible solutions and Megan shares a piece of advice that all couples could adopt in their own relationships, regardless of if they’re neurodiverse or not.

In this episode Steph sits down with Ari to find out why that is, and how she can manage some of the parts of work and business that ADHD makes more difficult, like receiving feedback, prioritising tasks, and staying focussed.
Steph and Ari first met after Steph appeared on a panel at a marketing summit. Afterwards, Ari asked Steph…do you think you might have ADHD?

Billy spends a lot of time working with neurodivergent children and their parents, and is one of our most favourite KICBUMP parents so we HAD to get him in for this miniseries!
In this episode, Billy & Steph speak about how ADHD presents in children and how parents can best support a child who has ADHD: what age children start displaying symptoms, seeking a diagnosis, how likely it is that ADHD parents will pass it on to their children, and most importantly, why that's not a bad thing.

This week we’re talking about how we split up the domestic labour in our homes. A few weeks ago the HILDA survey (Household, Income and Labour Dynamics in Australia Survey) came out which found that men are doing the same amount of housework now as they were when the survey started…20 years ago. This made us reflect on how we do divvy up the chores in our homes.
And! Do you brush your teeth before breakfast or after? What about shampoo or conditioner? We asked you which thing you do first and turns out they were more divisive than we thought.
Lastly! Is anyone else sleeping on top of a piece of plastic?

Matilda Boseley is a journalist and author of the book ‘The Year I Met My Brain: A travel companion for adults who have just found out they have ADHD’.
The book is part-Matilda’s experience of ADHD, and part-straight up facts, and this conversation was a little bit of both too. Matilda's book has become Steph's go-to recommendation for anyone wanting to learn more about ADHD, and especially ADHD in women.
Because the thing is…ADHD presents verrrrry differently in women and girls compared to boys.
In this episode Matilda speaks with Steph about learning about ADHD via TikTok during Covid lockdown, receiving an ADHD diagnosis in her early 20’s, the compounding impact of ADHD & anxiety, and Steph & Matilda both share their own experiences of being women with ADHD.
