    “Freedom is secured not by the fulfilling of men's desires, but by the removal of desire.” - Epictetus

    Explanation: Epictetus, in his typically stoic fashion, reminds us that freedom doesn't come from satisfying all our desires but from eliminating unnecessary ones. According to Stoic philosophy, many of our desires are for things outside of our control, leading to frustration, disappointment, and a feeling of being trapped.
