Čovek otkako postoji, on traga.

Emma is a high achieving, middle class girl from west London. She seems destined for a successful career in banking and a comfortable British life. Until she makes a decision that will come to define her. In 2001 Emma marries Bashar al-Assad - the now infamous dictator of Syria.
In the early days, people inside and out of Syria dared to hope. Alongside his beautiful, progressive wife, Bashar promised to modernise the country.
But when the Arab Spring reached Syria in 2011, Bashar's regime showed itself for what it really was: a brutal force, willing to capture and kill ordinary Syrians demanding change. And in all the years that a war raged on, Asma stands by her husband. She seemingly ignored the desperate pleas to stop her husband from killing his own people.
But what did she really know about the atrocities her husband’s government was carrying out? And what choices did she really have? Some people allege that she actually assisted the regime and cashed in on the war, that she herself is a war criminal. Others say she tried to run away but was trapped, held hostage by a regime who threatened her life and her children.
So, who is the real Emma?

Emerging from affinities with post-structuralism, abolitionism, biopolitics, communism, critical metaphysics, critical mysticism, and ontological anarchy, Acid Horizon is a philosophy and theory podcast committed to thought in motion and political struggle. While these are our grounding currents, each episode opens out onto a wider constellation: ethics, politics, phenomenology, decolonial thought, queer theory, post-psychoanalysis, disability/crip theory, anarchism, Marxism, feminism, and analyses of the emergence of the new right.
Comprised of a decentralized collective of friends and comrades, Acid Horizon cultivates a terrain of militant inquiry. From readings that span 20th-century French communism to new perspectives on German idealism, the collective has also undertaken forays into aesthetic experimentation, philosophical heresy, and the history of revolt. We seek the concepts and intensities that gesture toward new forms of life.
Acid Horizon pushes theory beyond the academy through live engagements, collaborative reading groups, and collective interventions.

Dan Harris is a fidgety, skeptical ABC News anchor who had a panic attack live on "Good Morning America," which led him to try something he always thought was ridiculous: meditation. He went on to write the bestselling book, "10% Happier." In this podcast, Dan explores happiness (whatever that means) from all angles. Guests include legendary meditation teachers -- from the Dalai Lama to Western masters -- as well as scientists, and even the odd celebrity. But the show also ventures beyond meditation, bringing on leading researchers in areas such as social anxiety, bias, creativity, productivity, and relationships. The animating insight of this show is that the mind is trainable. This is what science is showing us. Mental traits such as happiness, calm, generosity, compassion, and connection are not hardwired, unalterable factory settings; they are, in fact, skills that can be trained. On this show, you'll learn how. -

Gareth’s whole life has been defined by a relationship he had 35 years ago when, as a 14-year-old schoolboy, he fell in love with an attractive young teacher at his school. He spent most afternoons in her bedroom and thought he was the luckiest boy in the world. But when she walked out of his life everything started to unravel.
Lucky Boy is a four-part series in which Chloe Hadjimatheou asks who gets to be a perpetrator and a victim.
Gareth spent years believing he was a lucky boy. He was the 14-year-old who got the attention of the attractive young science teacher. Now, decades later, he wants the truth to come out about the damage it’s caused him. But his story is not straight forward.
Thank you for listening to Lucky Boy.

For eighty years, the Second World War has remained the most devastating and defining conflict in human history. World War II with Tom Hanks reexamines the war through the lens of a new century. Told over twenty hours and guided by Tom Hanks, whose lifelong passion for this history has shaped some of the most profound screen portrayals of the era, the series captures the full arc of the war — from the rise of fascism in Europe to the fall of Berlin, from Pearl Harbor to Hiroshima, and the uneasy peace that follows. Each episode uncovers new dimensions of the conflict: the decisions that shaped the battlefield, the unseen networks that sustained the war effort, and the aftershocks that still shape our world today. World War II with Tom Hanks is the definitive retelling of that story for a new generation: a sweeping, deeply human portrait of how the modern world was forged in the fires of global war.

Learn from history's greatest entrepreneurs. Every week I read a biography of an entrepreneur and find ideas you can use in your work.
This quote explains why: "There are thousands of years of history in which lots and lots of very smart people worked very hard and ran all types of experiments on how to create new businesses, invent new technology, new ways to manage etc. They ran these experiments throughout their entire lives. At some point, somebody put these lessons down in a book. For very little money and a few hours of time, you can learn from someone’s accumulated experience. There is so much more to learn from the past than we often realize. You could productively spend your time reading experiences of great people who have come before and you learn every time." —Marc Andreessen -

The Econoclasts is a new podcast from UnHerd hosted by economist Yanis Varoufakis and journalist Wolfgang Munchau. While they don't always agree politically, they are united in one conviction: the consensus is rotten. Mainstream economics has consistently failed to predict the events that shape our world, yet this broken orthodoxy still dominates policy and media. Each week, they choose two pillars of the established orthodoxy — the "settled facts" — and shatter them, cutting through the spin to connect the dots between money, geopolitics, and the real forces shaping our future.

What Happened in Nashville is a deeply reported investigation into the sudden collapse of a Tennessee fertility clinic, and the patients caught in the fallout. When the Center for Reproductive Health shut down without warning, people lost access to their embryos, their treatments were abruptly cut off, and many were left scrambling to recover money, medical records, and time they couldn’t afford to lose.
Through intimate conversations with the patients who lived through it, host Melissa Jeltsen reveals the emotional and physical toll of the clinic’s abrupt closure. But the story reaches far beyond a single clinic. The series exposes the cracks in a fertility industry built on hope, high price tags and minimal oversight. What Happened in Nashville isn’t just the story of one tragedy — it’s a warning about a system where families have everything at stake and far too little protection.

The Epstein Files is the first AI-native documentary podcast to systematically analyze the Jeffrey Epstein case at scale. With over 3 million pages of DOJ documents, court records, flight logs, and public resources now available, traditional journalism simply cannot process this volume of information. AI can.
This series leverages artificial intelligence at every layer of production. From custom-built architecture that ingests and cross-references millions of pages of evidence, to AI-generated audio that delivers findings in a consistent, accessible format, this project represents a new model for investigative journalism. What would take a newsroom years to analyze, AI can process in days, surfacing connections, patterns, and details that would otherwise remain buried in the sheer volume of data.
Each episode draws directly from primary sources: unsealed court documents, FBI files, the black book, flight logs, victim depositions, and the DOJ's ongoing document releases. The AI architecture identifies relevant passages, cross-references names and dates across thousands of files, and synthesizes findings into episodes that make this information digestible for the public.
The series covers Epstein's mysterious rise to wealth, his network of enablers, the properties where crimes occurred, the 2008 sweetheart deal, his death in federal custody, the Maxwell trial, and the unanswered questions that remain.
This is not sensationalized content. It is documented fact, processed at scale, and presented with journalistic rigor. The goal is simple: make the public record accessible to the public.
New episodes release as additional documents become available, with AI enabling rapid analysis and production that keeps pace with ongoing revelations. Our Standards AI enables scale, but journalistic standards guide the output. Every claim is tied to specific documents. The series clearly distinguishes between proven facts and allegations. Victim testimony is handled with dignity. Names that appear in documents are not accused of wrongdoing unless documents support such claims.
This is documented fact, processed at scale, presented for the public.
Produced by the Neural Broadcast Network.

At its core, this is a story about who you believe and why. From the archipelago's first Yamato rulers to the economic miracle of the postwar era, Japan's story is one of dramatic transformation. Lucas and Luna guide you through the rise of the samurai class during the Heian period, the brutal yet unifying Tokugawa shogunate that enforced two centuries of sakoku isolation, and the Meiji Restoration's race to industrialize. They explore the cultural flowering of Zen Buddhism, tea ceremony, and ukiyo-e woodblock prints, and grapple with Japan's imperial ambitions in Manchuria and the Pacific War. Key figures like Oda Nobunaga, Tokugawa Ieyasu, and Emperor Meiji are examined alongside debates over national identity and the legacy of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The show traces how a feudal society became the world's third-largest economy and a global cultural exporter—from anime to Toyota. Through deep dives into the Genpei War, the Shimabara Rebellion, and the Lost Decades, Lucas and Luna reveal the contradictions that define modern Japan: a nation of ancient temples and neon-lit skyscrapers, of warrior codes and pacifist constitutions. Why does Japan's past still shape its future?

Native people have been written out of the American story, but without us you don’t know what happened. This summer the United States will celebrate the 250-year anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. When you read the Declaration, you realize it is a list of complaints. The last entry, the climax in our founders’ reasons for rebellion against the Crown, is this: “He has excited… the merciless Indian Savages, whose known rule of warfare, is an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions.”
We have been told the Revolution was fought over taxation and representation. But what the founders were most angry about in our country’s most famous document was Indian affairs. How did generations of Americans miss this?
The first armed rebellion against the Crown was an attack on British forts that traded with tribes. When colonists threw tea into the Boston harbor, they dressed up like members of the Mohawk tribe—not for disguise, but because pretending to be Indian symbolized freedom and rebellion. The founding fathers’ first government failed because Indigenous nations were too powerful; war and diplomacy with Native people is why we have a central federal government.
Hosted and reported by Rebecca Nagle and featuring leading Native historians, First America unveils how the founders’ treatment of Indigenous nations—and their resistance—shaped US democracy. The show does not simply add another blemish to the image of the founding fathers, it reveals the real story of why the colonists rebelled, what kind of government they created, and, crucially, how our current political moment was 250 years in the making.
