After that, he went back to Blanes near Girona in Spain, where he got to play at the world famous Arena club alongside europes finest and also played at many no-licence raves on local beaches, farms and woodland areas for the locals. He returned to the UK and quickly became a well respected resident at Fridays @ Lava in Preston playing funky tech-house.Bawn also hosted a very popular techno radio show on Fm.fm,a global internet radio station, with a following from all over the world until its closure. Bt has guest starred on Dr Hoffmans Blindspot Podcast,Gobsmacked Records Podcast,Cuebase.fm,Mac Trax Radio International Sundays, The Wave Fm Argentina and Mastermix Italia, alongside some of the world’s finest DJ’s including Bas Mooy,Dj Hi-shock, Dj Warp, Paul Oakenfold,Adam Beyer,Josh Wink and David Morales, Andrew Weatherall and many more. Gabriel Bras, a.k.a. DJ Brasco, was born and raised in Gorinchem, The Netherlands, on October 23rd 1971.
As a teenager he went to clubs to see the DJ's perform. This inspired him to make his own music.
In his room he recorded Ben Liebrand on tape. At the age of 26 he bought two Technics 1200 SL record players and a mixing console. Also twice a month he bought records from other DJ's.
In 1998 he was asked by Raf Jansen (producer for DJ's such as Fedde Le Grand and Funkerman) to broadcast every Friday on radio station Channel X (A.k.a. Radio Atlantis) in Woudrichem. He also performed in Gorinchem and surroundings on a regular basis.
After a few years he unfortunately had to stop doing what he loved to do best. The costs of buying records were getting too expensive.
In 2006 he moved to his current residence Bergen op Zoom.
As music was and is his biggest passion, he started performing again and bought 2 CDJ-1000 players. A year after he performed again in clubs.
DJ Brasco has proved himself to be a well-seen DJ in clubs and on festivals in the Netherlands and Belgium. He is an allround DJ who can not easily be stereotyped. His style varies from techno to house. He manages to put down a good set on every party or festival and enjoys the time preparing to make that happen. His broad knowledge of house music creates diverse and energetic sets. That is the reason why he has been performing at a lot of big parties and events.
