I kirkens tidligste historie befandt der sig mennesker i ørkenen for at finde stilhed, afskallethed og Guds nærvær. Disse mennesker er blevet kaldt for ørkenens fædre og mødre, og blev en vigtig stemme til kirken og de små nyopstartede kristne fællesskaber uden for byerne. Fædrene og mødrenes tanker og handlinger er blevet skrevet ned og bevaret helt frem til idag. Og det er den visdom fra ørkenen denne podcast tager fat i. Det er ikke færdige og let spiselige retter der kommer fra ørkenen, dens pointer og refleksioner er grovkornet, obskure men begejstrende. Derfor vil denne podcast heller ikke give lette svar eller løsninger, men reflektere med og over fædrene og mødrenes visdom fra ørkenen.

By the way, I would encourage any new subscriber to simply start with episode 135 of this podcast.
I have decided to leave the archive of the older episodes available as they are very much a reflection of who I was and what I believed in that season of my life.
My desire is to live a life filled with meaning and purpose, to always be prepared to give the reason for the hope that I have and it is my sincere desire that that this show will inspire you to investigate your faith at a deeper level.
