La Casa è un romanzo breve (circa 70 minuti di ascolto). La storia si svolge a fine anni ’70 nel giro di un anno in una casa di campagna dove i due protagonisti hanno scelto di vivere con i loro amici per sfuggire alla città caotica.
Il decennio precedente, caratterizzato da un massiccio protagonismo dei giovani nella vita sociale, attraverso la politica, l’impegno e la voglia di contare in maniera determinante alla costruzione della società futura, sembra, sul finire di quegli anni, aver preso, tra i personaggi di questa vicenda, la via del disimpegno; un anno sabbatico, durante il quale riprendere in mano le proprie vite, occuparsi dei rapporti di amicizia, di amore. Immediatamente si delinea un piccolo mondo fatto di inganni, intrighi ma anche di scambio di sentimenti. Nel mezzo: una tragedia inaspettata o forse attesa nel cuore di ognuno di loro. La Casa diventa una entità viva, assiste a tutto questo muta, immobile e perfetta nel tempo.
E’ solo una piccola storia che però andava raccontata; non vuole essere la metafora del fallimento della generazione che ha prodotto i risultati odierni, poco confortanti, ma solo un tassello di un mosaico molto più grande e complesso. -
